State lawmakers are expected to return to Harrisburg today as the negotiations for a budget resume.
Members of the House and Senate initially planned to be in session over the holiday weekend, but those plans were scrapped. And then a negotiating session set for yesterday was also cancelled.
This latest attempt comes six days after the deadline to complete a state budget passed. Some Republican lawmakers have expressed optimism they’re close to a deal.
