Two more people have died locally this week as a result of serious COVID-19 symptoms at Butler Memorial Hospital.
The hospital reported two COVID-related deaths to the state on Monday.
According to the Butler Health System, as of Thursday morning 46 patients were hospitalized at Butler Memorial Hospital with 10 of those in the ICU. This four fewer hospitalized as well as one more COVID patient in the ICU compared to Monday.
The Butler Health System continues to recommend residents avoid events and large gatherings as these contribute to community spread of the virus. The BHS medical and administrative leadership teams strongly advise continuing to wear a mask, social distance, wash hands frequently, and stay home if feeling sick.
