Stewart-Haas Racing announced Wednesday that Kurt Busch has signed a multi-year contract extension to remain behind the wheel of the team’s Number-41 Sprint Cup Series Chevrolet. Sponsorship will come from a pair of California-based companies – Monster Energy drinks and Haas Automation, the largest builder of computer numerically controlled machine tools in North America. Busch is currently third in the postseason Chase standings, five points behind secondplace Denny Hamlin and eighteen down to leader Joey Logano entering Sunday’s race at Talladega Superspeedway.
