The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 9-0 Sunday. Chad Kuhl allowed just one hit over seven innings, striking out eight. Adam Frazier, Josh Bell and Jordy Mercer homered for the Pirates. It was the seventh time this season the Brewers were shutout.
The Bucs took two of three games in the series, and have now won each of the first four series against Central Division opponents. They are off today, and visit the Chicago White Sox Tuesday. The Bucs have another off-day Thursday before hosting the San Francisco Giants this weekend.
