Knoch high school’s Jordan Geist had a near miss national victory in the shot put at the recent “New Balance Outdoor Nationals” in Greensboro, North Carolina. Geist was the runner-up with a throw of more than 73 feet. His official mark was 22.32 meters, six centimeters short of the national champions throw of 22.38 meters. Geist was third in the Discus.
