A couple of Knoch School District employees are receiving recognition from a local organization for their dedication.
The Butler Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees recently selected Knoch Middle School Math teacher Janine Archer and support professional Kimberly Reel to receive this year’s Lauretta Woodson Award and education support grant.
The two support grants are for $100 each with the purpose of encouraging innovative classroom ideas and professional development through financing special programs, activities, or supplies.
Each year a different Butler County School District is chosen to select employees worthy of recognition.
The PASR Butler Chapter is made up of former teachers, administrators, counselors, nurses, secretaries, aides, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, and maintenance staff who receive a pension from the PA School Employees Retirement System.
