Knoch hires new football coach

The South Butler school board has hired a new head football coach, and it is a familiar face. Taking over the Knoch program will be Frank Whalen, a Saxonburg resident, who was an assistant for the Knights from 2008-2014. He was an assistant under Mike King, who stepped down after the 2016 season. Whalen served as an assistant at Geneva College the past two seasons.
