The Knoch Boys’ Basketball team lost to the Montour Spartans on the road on Tuesday night by a final of 92-78.
Knoch started out strong in Tuesday’s match-up, jumping out to a quick lead in the first quarter of the fast paced game. However, turnovers and foul trouble plagued the Knights for the majority of the first half, as the Spartans jumped to leads of 25-18 after one quarter and held a 46-42 lead going into halftime. As for the second half, Knoch was unable to overcome the Spartans’ full court press and hot shooting, as Montour was able to extend their first half lead.
The leading scorers in Tuesday’s game were Dominic Sleba (34 points), Mike Mastroianni (22 points), and K.J. Rhodes (18 points), for Montour, while Mac Christy (22 points), Austin Hannes (16 points), P.J. Gourley (13 points), and Devin Campbell (11 points) and were the leading scorers for Knoch.
