Kmart is closing 64 stores across 28 states but the local store is safe for now.
Sears Holdings, which owns Sears and Kmart, informed Kmart employees of the closures last week.
There was only one Pennsylvania Kmart on the list, which is in Burnham (Mifflin County, outside of State College).
There is a Kmart in Pullman Square in Butler City.
