An Armstrong County woman has been charged following an accident over the weekend in Center Township that seriously injured a Boyers man.
According to State Police, 58-year-old Alice Patz of Kittanning was traveling on Route 8 north- near the intersection with Hilltop Drive- on Sunday just before 11 p.m. when she attempted to make a U-turn.
29-year-old Luke DeAngelis of Boyers was operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and crashed into the driver’s side of Patz’s Toyota Rav4.
DeAngelis was flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of what were described as “serious injuries.” Patz was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of “minor injuries.”
Police have charged Patz with a driving violation.
