A 9-year-old Kittanning boy is recovering after he shot himself with a BB gun Saturday afternoon.
The State Police say that around 1:30pm Saturday, the boy was outside of a Rayburn Township residence by himself when he accidentally shot his left ring finger as his pistol BB gun malfunctioned.
Authorities say that the BB was then lodged in his finger, but was later removed at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.
No other injuries were reported, and no charges were filed.
