The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Detroit Red Wings 6-3 last night at the Consol Energy Center. Phil Kessel scored twice and Scott Wilson picked up his first NHL goal in the second period.
The win moved the Pens into a tue with the Tampa Bay Lightning for the first Eastern Conference Wild Card. The Pens are now one point behind the New York Islanders for the third place in their division.
The Pens host Tampa Bay tomorrow, then travel to Buffalo Sunday. Both games begin at 12:30pm, and can be heard on WISR 680am beginning at Noon.
