Matt Kenseth delivered Joe Gibbs Racing’s fourth straight victory Sunday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, joining teammate Denny Hamlin in the next round of the post-season Chase that starts October 10th in Charlotte. Kenseth was running second in the closing laps when race leader Kevin Harvick ran out of fuel, opening the door for Kenseth to claim his series-best fifth win of the year. J-G-R has now won ten of the last thirteen races and will have at least two of its four drivers in the Contender Round of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Hamlin followed Kenseth to the checkered flag on Sunday to grab second place with Joey Logano, Greg Biffle and pole sitter Carl Edwards … another J-G-R driver … completing the top five. The drivers head to Dover this weekend. The Series defending champion Harvick is one of several drivers needing a victory this week to avoid elimination from the Chase.
Ryan Blaney won the X-Finity Series race at Myrtle Beach Saturday. Austin Dillon won the Truck Series race at New Hampshire.
