High School Sports:
District 9 Baseball:
–Karns City remained unbeaten with a ninth-inning walk-off win over Moniteau. The final score was 5-4. The Gremlins are now 15-0. The game played in Butler, saw Logan Pistorius single home Connor Schaffner with a two-out, two-strike single to win the game. The Gremlins had tied the game in the bottom of the seventh to force extra innings, and game back from a 4-3 deficit in the ninth. The Warriors fell to 14-4. The two rivals will meet again at Kelly Automotive Park in the District 5-9 semifinals next Thursday.
–AC Valley fell to Cranberry 10-2.
District 9 Softball:
–Karns City shutout Moniteau 2-0.
WPIAL Baseball playoffs:
–North Allegheny defeated Penn-Trafford 6-0 in the 6A first round. N.A. will meet Bethel Park in the quarterfinals Monday.
WPIAL Softball playoffs:
–Mars fell to Kiski Area 8-3 in the WPIAL first round.

Girls Lacrosse:
–Mars defeated Trinity 15-3 in the 2A first round. The Planets will meet Hampton in the semifinals Monday. Hampton eliminated Blackhawk 10-6 Wednesday.
–In the 3A quarterfinals tonight, Seneca Valley will visit Mt. Lebanon at 6pm.
Boys Lacrosse:
–Pine-Richland-13 Bethel Park-2.
–North Allegheny-7 Upper St. Clair-5. The Tigers and Rams meet in the 3A semifinals next Wednesday.
–Freeport will visit Mars tonight at 8pm in the 2A quarterfinals.
–Knoch will visit Hampton tonight at 6pm.
