Kacey Musgraves’ recent Hometown Hang concert, which took place last month in Mineola, Texas, has raised a total of over $100,000, including $65,000 to benefit music and arts programs at Wood County public schools, as well as nearly $40,000 for technology and infrastructure improvements at the Mineola Nature Preserve.
Kacey said, “My Hometown Hang was as fun as it was meaningful to me and I’m beyond proud of the money we raised to help inspire and fulfill dreams of local kids for years to come.”
The event drew more than 400 guests and about 200 volunteers. In addition to Kacey, the lineup John & Jacob and Wade Bowen, along with 24 Wood County students.
Kacey recently wrapped the U.S. leg of her sold-out, headlining tour, The Kacey Musgraves Country & Western Rhinestone Revue. She will be heading to the U.K. and Europe later this month.
