Justin Thomas won the BMW Championship Sunday by three strokes and will be the number one seed going into the FedEx Cup finale. The top 30 golfers in the FedEx Cup compete for the $15 million prize this week at the Tour Championship near Atlanta.
21-year old Andy Ogletree won the 119th U.S. Amateur in Pinehurst, North Carolina Sunday, defeating John Augenstein 2-and-1 in the 36-hole final. Ogeltree is a senior at Georgia Tech. Augenstein, a senior at Vanderbilt, had eliminated Palmer Jackson, a Franklin Regional graduate, in the quarterfinals Friday.
