The GFWC Junior Women’s Club of Butler is looking for new members and they are gearing up for a few events this spring.
Every year the organization takes part in maintaining the Gateway Gardens, which is the floral patch between Routes 422 & 8. They help plant, water, and take care of the flowers in that area of Butler.
The group takes part in the annual Spring Clean in Butler. The GFWC is again planning on taking part in this spring’s event.
Finally, this year, the group is looking to hold a Zumbathon to raise money for Heifer International, an organization helping to end hunger and poverty by providing livestock and education to those in need.
The General Federation of Women’s Club’s Junior Women’s Club of Butler is an international women’s organization. This civic organization in Butler is dedicated to community improvement through volunteer service.
The GFWC is always looking for new members, although in December there is an official installation of membership. Meetings are September through May.
