Erik Jones won both Nascar events over the weekend in two different states. Jones won the rain-delayed X-FINITY Series race Sunday at Chicagoland Speedway after passing Hartford, Ohio native Ryan Blaney with 11 laps remaining. He was in a Joe Gibbs Racing car. The race was originally scheduled for Saturday night, but rain pushed it to Sunday afternoon. Jones also won the Camping World Truck Series race in Iowa Friday night. He is in his rookie season for Kyle Busch Motorsports, and is third in the truck series championship point standings behind Matt Crafton and Tyler Reddick.
The Sprint Cup Series was idle this weekend and will race in Sonoma, California this Sunday.
