North Carolina-based Lowe’s Companies, Incorporated has signed a two-year contract extension to continue its primary sponsorship of Jimmie Johnson’s Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet through 2017. Johnson and the team also have agreed to an extension that will keep the six-time Sprint Cup Series champion behind the wheel of the Number-48 entry for two more seasons. The agreements announced Monday build on a partnership that was launched in 2001 and has since grown into one of the most successful in NASCAR history. Johnson has scored at least three wins in each of his fourteen full-time seasons, including four victories.
