A state official will make a stop in Lawrence County today for a ceremony at a Slippery Rock business.
As part of the ‘Jobs That Pay’ tour, Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Dennis Davin will participate in a ribbon-cutting at Whitehall Specialties starting at 1 p.m.
Whitehall Specialties is a custom, non-standardized and processed cheese manufacturer that has committed to the creation of 80 new, full-time jobs.
Davin will also discuss Governor Tom Wolf’s budget proposal for the upcoming year which includes funding for job creation and workforce training.
