A sweet way to celebrate the end of winter is planned for this weekend at the Jennings Environmental Education Center.
The annual maple sugaring presentation will be given Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the facility in Slippery Rock near the Old Stone House.
The program begins with an indoor introduction and includes a guided outdoor walk to demonstrate the history and art of maple sugaring. Those attending will have the chance to see a working evaporator and taste real maple syrup as well as purchase a variety of local maple products.
Registration is not required but seating is limited.
