It’s been a snowy and slushy winter so far, and there’s more wintry weather on the way this week.
One municipality is detailing just how much materials they’ve used to keep the roads dry so far.
Jefferson Township officials say they’ve put down an estimated 1,000 tons of salt on roadways this winter along with 120 tons of anti-skid.
They’ve also placed an order for 300 tons of more salt.
Jefferson Township covers about 22 square miles in southern Butler County.
