Plans are well underway for this year’s Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival in June.
Festival Director Patti Jo Lambert says the focus right now is gathering volunteers.
Individual volunteers are always needed and welcome, but the specific focus right is nonprofit organizations to assist with traffic control.
“We’re looking for at least two or three more groups, with at least ten or more people in each group, to help with traffic control each day of the festival,” Lambert said in an interview. “In exchange for their time, we’ll provide the groups up to $2,000.”
For safety reasons, the festival is exclusively asking for groups with adult volunteers.
The festival is from June 9 to 11 and volunteers would work for about 22 hours across the three days.
“Any groups that have enough people, that are willing to help all weekend long and want to have fun with us…that’s who we’re looking for,” she said.
Interested groups can call 724-256-4050 or email [email protected].
This year’s event will be the seventh annual. It’s run by the Friends of the Bantam Jeep Association.
