Jana Kramer‘s new album, thirty one, is in stores everywhere. The project, which was released on Friday (October 9th), includes her current hit, “I Got The Boy.” Jana co-wrote six of the album’s 11 songs.
It’s been three years since Jana released her self-titled debut, but the singer tells us it was definitely worth the wait. “The first album, you know, I’m proud of it and all. It’s just it was so rushed because it was like, ‘Okay, I got a record deal,’ and then ‘Why Ya Wanna’ was doing great so we had to put the album out, so I didn’t have a lot of time to write and what I was writing then wasn’t as strong as the stuff I’m writing today cause I’ve grown so much as a songwriter, and, you know, just the songs in general . . . I listened to more of the head people and not kind of what I thought because I was too timid to say no or disagree so I was like, ‘Yeah, it’s a great song,’ and again, not like they’re bad songs, but I’ve grown so much from that album to this album and I’m very proud of what we have right now.”
Jana will be performing at the Red Rock Saloon in Madison, Wisconsin on Friday (October 16th).
She and her husband, Michael Caussin, are expecting a baby girl early next year.
