The Butler BlueSox lost a close one on the road to the Jamestown Jammers Saturday night by a final of 3-2.
The Sox’ offense struggled against the Jammers’ pitching staff, as the middle of the batting order combined for all five hits.
Connor Coward, who was the BlueSox’ starting pitcher in the loss, did find some success against Jamestown’s batters. He ended the night with eight strikeouts.
With the loss, Butler is now 1.5 games back from first place Chillicothe in the division standings.
The Sox will take on the Jammers again Sunday afternoon, with the first pitch scheduled for 3:05pm.
