Talk about ‘real life’! Jake Owen isn’t shying away from sharing his own real life troubles, including talking about his marriage. The singer told Country Weekly that he and Lacey, his wife of three years, have been having a tough time lately.
Jake said, “My wife and I for the last few months, have been having a hard time and struggling with communication, and literally talking about divorce. After long conversations for days and weeks . . . talking about it and getting it out there and letting people know that we’re the same as they are, we have problems, too, it made us feel better talking about the things we’ve kept from each other.”
He added, “I work hard to let people know I’m no different than they are.”
Jake and Lacey are parents to two-year-old daughter Pearl.
