The inmate who walked away from the Armstrong County Jail last month and then allegedly killed a woman before being captured has been ordered to stand trial.
Five people testified at the preliminary hearing Wednesday for 38-year-old Robert Crissman.
Investigators say Crissman escaped from the jail while doing work as a trusty and then strangled 55-year-old Tammy Long inside her Rayburn home.
Security was stepped up at the Armstrong County Courthouse during yesterday’s hearing. The jail’s trusty program has since been suspended and may be canceled indefinitely.
