A project to improve an intersection in Jackson Township has received a significant grant.
According to State Representative Jim Marshall and State Senator Elder Vogel, the Commonwealth Financing Authority has awarded $1.2 million for the installation of a traffic signal and turning lanes at the entrance to Northgate Plaza shopping center on Route 19.
Jackson Township also plans to install a pedestrian bridge over Scholar’s Run which will connect the Harmony Borough and Jackson Township neighborhoods to Reservoir Park and Route 19 retail.
This project will provide safer and more convenient access to a busy area that has seen multiple accidents with fatalities in recent years as traffic and development continues to grow.
