A student at a local university has died from injuries he suffered during a fight that occurred earlier this weekend.
According to reports, 20-year-old Caleb Zwieg, a sophomore student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, died from injuries he suffered after he allegedly fought another IUP student on Friday night.
Authorities say that around 11:30pm, they were called to a residence on Wayne Avenue for the unresponsive Zwieg, who witnesses say was strangled by one of his own fraternity brothers. First responders rushed Zwieg to Indiana Regional Medical Center, but was later pronounced dead.
The suspect, 19-year-old Brady DiStephano, is accused of strangling Zwieg, who was knocked unconscious during the fight.
DiStephano faces a charge of aggravated assault, which authorities say could change depending on the results of an autopsy and toxicology reports.
