A popular event will return to the streets of downtown Butler this summer.
Thursday night Butler City Council approved an agreement to bring the Butler Italian Festival back for a 5th year.
The festival will run from 5 p.m. on Friday, August 26th through 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 28th on Butler’s Main Street, which will be closed from Cunningham to Brady Streets for the majority of the weekend.
There are no changes to this agreement from years past including the fact that the City will continue to pay 75% of police overtime costs to handle festival crowds with organizers picking up the remaining 25%.
