A Pittsburgh man will face charges including rape after an incident in Cranberry Township earlier this year.
According to a criminal complaint filed by the Cranberry Township Police, 33-year-old Sherod Rosier was placed under arrest following an investigation into an alleged assault that occurred in March.
A victim told police in April that Rosier raped her and robbed her at gunpoint of nearly $2,000 after the two agreed to meet at the Red Roof Inn on Route 19.
Police used cell phone positioning records to confirm the victim’s statement and also charged Rosier with firearms violations as a result of his significant criminal history including theft, assault, and drugs.
