State police are continuing to investigate after a young girl was attacked by two dogs in Center Township.
Police were initially called to a home on Shanahan Road- just off Sunset Drive- about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night for a 6-year-old New Castle girl who was attacked by two Rottweilers.
The girl was apparently visiting a relative when she was attacked. She suffered bite wounds on her head and body and was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.
State police described her injuries as “serious.” It’s unclear if any charges have been filed against the dog’s owner.
