A large accident on Interstate 80 has resulted in PennDOT reducing the speed limit on that highway in neighboring counties.
A crash with multiple injuries involving nearly 60 vehicles occurred Thursday morning in Jefferson County.
A separate crash near the Ohio boarder in Mercer County resulted in a jack-knifed tractor trailer catching fire. The slick roads and poor visibility are being blamed on lake effect snow bands moving through the area.
Drivers on I-80 in Mercer, Venango, Clarion, and Jefferson Counties are being asked to travel below 45 miles per hour due to the winter weather conditions.
