Monday is International Day of Happiness.
So, where’s the happiest place in America?
According to personal-finance website WalletHub, the happiest place in the United States is Fremont, California. Of the top 10 happiest places, eight of them are in California…with Los Angeles boasting the lowest depression rate of just under 10 percent.
Portland, Oregon has the highest depression rate at nearly 25 percent.
To do the survey, WalletHub looked at 30 key indicators of happiness, including separation and divorce rate, income-growth and average leisure time spent per day.
This might surprise you. Washington, D.C. came in as the 10th happiest place in the United States.
