Some of the public libraries in the area will be a part of a program called ‘Inquire Within” this summer.
Jill Hambley, Director Prospect Community Library, talked with our radio station and said the program is a different way to connect facilities to PBS material, bringing about educational experiences. Through a grant the materials, including a costume are free to participating libraries.
This program is from both WQED and PBS.
At a minimum, participating libraries must hold four events with related topics, although Hambley says libraries often will do more. The exact programs held can be chosen by each library.
Butler and South Butler libraries are expected to have the ‘Inquire Within’ program throughout the summer as well as Prospect. The summer reading kick-off in Prospect is set for Friday, June 9, 2017.
XTO Energy is also on board with this program to help fund materials and be a part of programs on occasion.
