An inmate inside the Mercer County Prison was killed by his cell mate last night according to state police.
Police say it happened just before 9 p.m. Monday when 35-year-old Darl Heverly allegedly strangled 35-year-old Jason Kelly inside a cell in the restricted housing unit inside the prison.
Police say they anticipate Heverly will be charged with criminal homice later today.
