At least one person was injured as a result of an accident involving a pedestrian Wednesday afternoon in Forward Township.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly before 12:30 p.m. for an incident involving at least one vehicle and pedestrian on Evans City Road (Route 68) near Skander Tire.
Early reports from the scene indicated that a utility pole could also have been impacted. The extent of injury to those involved is not known at this time.
Traffic was backed up for a time on the busy road while crews worked to clear debris from the scene. Emergency responders went back into service after nearly one hour.
