Pirates
Clayton Kershaw earned his first win in 2 ½ months, five Dodgers homered including Max Muncy with a pair, and Los Angeles beat the Pirates, 8-3, on Tuesday night.
Ivan Nova (4-6) became the first pitcher in Pirates history to give up five homers in a game. The Pirates have been outscored 25-4 in the first two games of the series.
Joe Musgrove, who didn’t make his first start this season until May 25 due to shoulder soreness, was placed on the 10-day disabled list Tuesday with a right index finger infection.
That leaves the Pirates without an announced starter for their game Wednesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Altoona Curve
Triston McKenzie took a no-hitter into the seventh inning as the Altoona Curve were shut out by the Akron RubberDucks, 3-0, on Tuesday night at Canal Park
Bluesox
The Chillicothe Paints beat the Bluesox 6-5 last night.
The Paints and Sox will play again Wednesday at 6:35pm. The City of Butler’s fireworks show will follow the game.
