With the start of the Labor Day holiday weekend, Pennsylvania State Police, including troopers at the Butler barracks, would like to remind the public to drive safely, be alert and obey traffic laws.
Officers will be out in greater numbers over the upcoming weekend targeting impaired drivers, those speeding, and those committing safety equipment violations around Butler and surrounding counties.
Police will use a ‘zero tolerance approach’ while conducting roving and stationary DUI patrols at various locations around the county.
Troopers would also like to remind motorists of the “steer clear law” and to stay alert when approaching law enforcement, emergency services, disabled motorists or tow vehicles on the roadway.
