Near white-out conditions and icy roads resulted in a vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon in Connoquenessing Township.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly before 2:30 p.m. for the crash in the 300 block of Eagle Mill Road.
Crews from Connoquenessing and Prospect were dispatched to the scene along with Butler Ambulance for a vehicle reportedly overturned with the driver trapped inside.
The extent of injuries is unknown at this time but the cause of the crash is believed to be icy road conditions after a hard and fast snow. A short time later, a second accident with injury was reported, this time in Butler Township near the intersection of Woodridge and Belmont Roads.
