A portion of Interstate 80 was closed for several hours Monday following a crash that killed one and seriously injured another.
The one-vehicle crash happened on Interstate 80 westbound in Clarion County about 8:30 a.m.
According to State Police, for some unknown reason, Franky Munoz Jr. of Youngstown lost control of his vehicle, traveled off the road and rolled several times.
Munoz was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Pittsburgh Hospital. A passenger in Munoz’s vehicle was ejected and subsequently pronounced dead on scene by the Clarion County coroner. The passenger is a man from Youngstown but police have not yet released his name.
Interstate 80 was closed for about four hours as crews investigated.
