A short-term lane restriction on I-79 southbound in Cranberry Township originally planned for Wednesday has been postponed due to weather.
The single lane closure will now take place on Monday, December 9th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weather permitting. Motorists should expect delays and avoid the area if possible.
Crews will be removing the current temporary roadway on the bridge over North Boundary Road and opening the newly constructed bridge.
According to PennDOT officials, the second phase of the $15 million project will include replacement of the bridge over North Boundary Road in the I-79 Northbound lane is scheduled to begin next spring.
