This year marks the 25th year the ‘Hunters Sharing the Harvest’ program has been bringing hunters together to help the less fortunate.
Senator Ryan Aument from Lancaster says more than 1.8 million Pennsylvanians require food assistance, and this program directly benefits them.
Butler County is the second highest producing county in the state in terms of donated venison. Hunters in Butler have four processors to choose from who work with ‘Hunters Sharing the Harvest.’
