Many Pennsylvania hunters are observing this season of thanks by giving meals to those who are hungry.
The Hunters Sharing The Harvest program allows hunters to donate venison through meat processors to local food banks, soup kitchens and hungry families.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission has again made a $20,000 donation to the program that will allow hunters to contribute to the program for free. In past years, hunters had been asked to pay a $15 charge to cover the processing of donations.
Last year, Pa. hunters provided donations that resulted in about 200,000 meals.
