A Butler County man and his dog were hit in a weekend hit-and-run crash.
The incident happened Saturday morning in northeastern Lawrence County (Washington Township) while the local man was reportedly preparing to go hunting.
Authorities say the Slippery Rock Township man was parked on the side of the road getting hunting gear out of his truck when his dog reportedly ran into the road. The man ran out to get his dog and was reportedly struck by a vehicle.
The driver reportedly stopped for a moment but then left the scene.
