Hundreds of people rallied in Harrisburg on Monday in support of the Second Amendment.
Butler County Republican State Representative Daryl Metcalfe organized the annual event in the Main Capitol Rotunda. So many gun rights supporters showed up, security had to turn some away.
State Senator Elder Vogel- who represents constituents in western Butler County- was there.
“We need to be here,” Vogel said. “If you’re not here supporting your cause, someone else will be here sitting in your seat. It’s the squeaky wheel that gets the grease.”
Several speakers at the rally acknowledged the pressure for new gun control measures following school shootings.
