Hundreds of Butler County residents will receive a free Thanksgiving meal today thanks to the generosity of volunteers.
The ‘Butler Community Thanksgiving Dinner’ has been an effort put on by the three Butler City Catholic parishes for more than 20 years.
Volunteers donate & cook a complete meal of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables and dessert…and then serve local residents inside the St. Peter Church Hall on Franklin Street from noon until 1 p.m.
Also, tens of volunteers deliver hot meals to residents county-wide who would rather eat at home or can’t make it to the church. Hundreds of deliveries are made each year.
