The Butler County Humane Society will be holding their Spring Open House this weekend.
On Saturday, March 9, 2016, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., the organization will open its doors for the public to walk through the building and, as Marcie Mustello, Chair of the Board of Directors says, “see how their money is spent.”
The Butler County Humane Society is the only no-kill shelter in the area and is not supported by county taxpayer dollars. It relies on the donations and support of the Butler community and surrounding areas.
The open house is a free event that will feature a scavenger hunt, face-painting, a pet painting station, a bake sale, merchandise for purchase, adoption specials and more.
All the money raised will benefit the animals at the Butler County Humane Society.
The Humane Society in Butler has serviced the community for over one hundred years, beginning its operation in 1897 in the area. They are currently located at 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA.
