A Pittsburgh man has been arrested after he was accused of killing a Farrell man during an attempted robbery late last week.
According to the Mercer State Police, 49-year-old Harry Kennedy Jr. was found dead inside a Farrell residence on Thursday night. As the State Police investigated during the overnight hours, they determined that Kennedy was shot and killed during an attempted robbery.
Police identified the suspect as 27-year-old Gerald Frank, who gave false statements to authorities during the investigation. Officials also say that Frank attempted to rob the victim of cash and narcotics.
Frank was arrested on Friday morning, and is currently in the Mercer County Jail. He faces charges of criminal homicide, and conspiracy to commit robbery and theft.
