High School Sports:
WPIAL Baseball Playoffs:
–Blackhawk ended the Knoch Knights season with a 4-0 victory in the First Round of the 4A playoffs. Knoch ends their season 10-8.
6A First Round games today:
–Butler will meet Peters Township at Boyce Mayview Park at 7pm.
–Seneca Valley will face Connellsville at Fox Chapel high school at 4pm.
5A First Round:
–Mars will meet Fox Chapel at North Allegheny high school at 4pm.
WPIAL Softball Playoffs:
–Seneca Valley defeated Canon-McMillan 8-4 in their First Round 6A game. Karli Hacker had three hits and drove in four for the Raiders. Seneca Valley will meet Hempfield in the semifinals next Wednesday.
–North Allegheny defeated Upper St. Clair 3-2. The Tigers will meet Norwin in the semifinals.
Tonight in the 5A First Round:
–Mars will meet Connellsville at Gateway high school at 4pm.
–Freeport will face Ellwood City at North Allegheny high school at 4pm.
Boys Lacrosse:
–North Allegheny defeated Seneca Valley 10-3 in the WPIAL 3A quarterfinals.
–Pine-Richland defeated Peters Township 19-4.
Tonight in the WPIAL 2A Quarterfinals:
–Freeport will face Moon at Mars high school at 6pm. Mars will host Franklin Regional at 8pm.
Girls Lacrosse:
–Mars had their season end with a 10-8 loss to Seton LaSalle in the WPIAL 2A quarterfinals.
–North Catholic lost to Oakland Catholic 17-7.
Tonight in the 3A Quarterfinals:
–North Allegheny travels to Upper St. Clair at 7:30pm. Pine-Richland also plays at Upper St. Clair against Bethel Park at 6pm.
WPIAL Boys Volleyball Quarterfinals tonight:
–Seneca Valley will face Latrobe at North Allegheny high school at 6pm. N.A. will host Penn-Trafford at 7:30pm.
